The Mission and Purpose

Hi! First off, thank you for checking out my blog. For my first post, I’ll dive into my story and the reasons for starting this page. Before we start, I want to express my gratitude to the Lord. I am so excited to see where God will take this dream and how He will use it.

Everything I post and use this platform for, will be in Jesus’s name and for the glory of God.

A little background on me: I am 22 years old, and I just graduated from college. I think I will save my testimony for another post, but I have always loved the Lord. Things really changed for me 3 years ago when I learned what truly following the Lord looked like. Long story short, I found Jesus again in college, when I was lonely and searching in empty things for something to fill me where only Jesus could. Since I dedicated my life to Jesus, I have fallen short and have left Him for my own flesh many times. Each day, I surrender and pray that I walk humbly and expectant of the good God has to bring. By God’s grace and His mercy, He called me His again and again.

Now you know a little bit about me, but how did we end up here? Let’s start at the beginning…
A couple of months ago, God had put on my heart to start creating Pins on Pinterest. So, I began posting pins that glorified God and were rooted in Christ. Once I started looking into how to reach a bigger audience on Pinterest, I realized that Pinterest alone wasn’t going to cut it. That’s when God revealed to me the idea of a blog. I’ve always loved to write, but it isn’t something I’ve done in a long time. A dream of mine that I’ve never really put much effort towards, but was always in the back of my head, was to write children’s books. I felt like God revealed to me that this is where He wanted me to start, to build a platform and practice writing. At this point in the journey, the pieces started fitting together, and now, here I am, writing my first blog post. I’m the type of person who, once I start a project, wants to do everything all at once and have it wrapped up by the end of the day. This journey, on the other hand, has been a slow process. I have been praying to slow down and take this journey at God’s will and timing. I have really tried to take it day by day. I am not focusing on the numbers or posting to increase my views. Instead, I am focusing on God and creating on His timing. I’m not sure if this blog will go anywhere, or if I will ever write children’s books, but I do know and trust that as long as I’m giving everything to God, He will use this where He needs it.

Getting into the purpose of this blog, God willing, I want to create art, planners, bible studies, etc. I also want to write stories and whatever God puts on my heart to share with others. Like I said, I am a bit rusty on the writing, and I have never used Canva before, so there will be a learning curve… but I enjoy doing it, so I am very excited to see where this goes!

  1. Wow, I was touched when you said something about writing children’s books. I love writing, too. And actually took a ‘thru the mail’ course many years ago called Institute of Children’s Literature, where they connect you with an author who acts as your teacher. Now it is probably done online. At some point, I decided to do the same as you – start a blog. I have learned so much as I’ve studied and written, and have been drawn closer and closer to Him along the journey. We all mess up on our path of being gradually conformed to be more like Him – what counts is not turning back, but persevering. As long as you continue to ask Him to help you do everything according to His will and to His glory, I believe He will help and guide you. I pray for you journey:)
